Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life by Shakti Gawain

There are very few people in the spiritual community that haven’t heard of Shakti Gawain. Her book, Creative Visualization, originally published in 1978, started a trend in spiritual and physical self improvement that has yet to be beat.

That is until now, with the release of her thirtieth anniversary edition.

I first read Creative Visualization back in 1988, and I will admit, back then, I didn’t quite get it. But I read it through, no, devoured it, in just a couple of days. I knew that I had a gem of a book, and it stuck with me over the coming years me as I traveled along my spiritual path. I found myself reading it again and again, and getting more and more out of it each time I read it.

The thirtieth anniversary edition is a beautiful update to this timeless classic. It’s hardcover (and the cover is simply lovely), with a hardcover slipcase for displaying, and includes a CD of her meditations.

If you have already read Creative Visualization, this beautiful new update is more dynamic than ever. I have found it to be a vital part of my spiritual growth and physical healing process!

If you’ve never read Creative Visualization, this is a pretty special book. She not only covers visualization techniques (including goal setting, treasure maps and meditations) but how to work with affirmations, how to clear yourself if the affirmations don’t seem to be working, and the importance of accepting your own good and doing good for others.

I found this extraordinarily helpful! I have a set of affirmations that I run through several times a day, yet lately I found myself consistently getting hung up in how I was moving forward. As I re-read her book, I found that my problem was in my being able to accept my own good. As I read through the affirmations she provides for working through this, I had an “Ah-Ha” moment, and was FINALLY able to move forward! And I really FELT this change at my core!

So, I ran out and bought “The Creative Visualization Workbook!” This is a companion workbook to Creative Visualization, and though it’s not necessary, I would highly recommend working with it. As I went through the workbook (this is my first time) I found so many places where I block myself, and I was never even aware I was doing it! She gives you plenty of space for writing and making treasure maps, and her instructions are crystal clear. I had a blast going through it and I have a much better idea of where I’m going now!

Creative Visualization is as amazing today as it was 30 years ago! It’s so powerful it’s in the bibliography of many, many, books on affirmations and visualizations that have come out since! Take a new look at an old friend. Creative Visualization is the ideal tool for creating the life you have always desired.
